Frequently Asked Questions

New to the province?

I just recently moved to Saskatchewan. What insurance coverage is available for my vehicles?

When you move to Saskatchewan you must register your vehicles within ninety days of taking up permanent residence. Included with the registration of your vehicle is compulsory insurance provided by the Saskatchewan Government. The coverage you are provided with includes collision and comprehensive protection subject to a $700.00 deductible and $200,000.00 third party liability. An optional extension Policy, often called a Package Policy, can be purchased from us to lower the physical damage deductible and increase the liability amount. Other options available on the extension policy include: glass coverage against road hazards, loss of use, replacement cost for new vehicles, business use or leased vehicle protection.

Recent Condo Upgrades

We have just finished redecorating our condominium by upgrading our floor coverings and kitchen. Are these improvements covered by my existing Condo Package or by the Condominium Corporation?

The Condominium Corporation is usually responsible to cover your unit for the value as originally built. If in your redecorating you have improved the value of your condo by replacing with higher quality products, you are responsible to insure the betterment value on your condominium insurance.
Most condominium policies automatically cover betterments or improvements to a specified limit. Please check your policy or call our office for assistance.
You should obtain a copy of your Condominium Corporations Bylaws to ascertain what you are provided in the way of insurance by the Corporation and for what you must obtain insurance.
