Support the Saskatoon Community Foundation for $2 Print this Article   Back To Top

$2 is a small price to pay for investing in your community — but it’s all you need to purchase one reusable “green” grocery bag and show your support for the Saskatoon Community Foundation.

Cherry Insurance is pleased to support the Saskatoon Community Foundation and that’s why we’ve invested in 5,000 reusable “green” grocery bags.

If you missed your chance to buy your cloth bag at this past weekend's Saskatoon Farmers' Market you still have time. Visit any Saskatoon Cherry Insurance location during regular business hours and pick up your reusable grocery bag for $2. All proceeds from the sale of the bags go directly to the Saskatoon Community Foundation — that could mean a total contribution of $10,000 to a worthy cause.

For almost 40 years, the Foundation has provided grants to support local charities. These grants allow Saskatoon charities to expand programs, develop infrastructure and assist those in need. Donations to the Foundation are invested forever. That allows all gifts — large and small — to benefit the community today and into the future. For 40 years, Saskatoon residents have shown foresight and generosity by supporting the Foundation. Let’s all be a part of the next 40 years of giving! To learn more about the Foundation see below.

Inarek wishes high school graduates all the best Print this Article   Back To Top

In an effort to get out while the sun was shining, Inarek the alien decided to go for a little jog down by the river. While his intentions were good, they were no match for all of the downtown activities.

He had to stop his run to visit with people eating their lunch along the banks, listen to the beautiful music playing at the free stage of the local Jazz festival, and he even got a chance to congratulate a few high school seniors on their big day!

While these grads wanted a photo with Inarek for the present celebration, he was quick to remind them of the importance of future planning – especially when you’re starting out on your own. Of course, Cherry Insurance will be there for every milestone.
