Inarek joins Print this Article   Back To Top

The rain let up just in time for the organizers and participants of the fourth annual Bridge City Boogie this past Sunday. Our own Cherry Insurance alien, Inarek came out in full force to cheer the runners and walkers on.

"I couldn't believe how many people came out," commented Inarek. "I'm glad I was there to meet all of the participants."

A record-breaking 5,167 people ran, walked, rolled and shuffled around the Bridge City Boogie trail. The event supports three local charities: Canwest Raise-a-Reader, the Saskatoon Crisis Nursery, and the Boys and Girls Club of Saskatchewan.

Check out photos from the event below.

Inarek meets Saskatchewan Marathon racers Print this Article   Back To Top

With all of the rain this past week, Inarek couldn’t get out on his ship so he looked for indoor adventures instead. He ended up at TCU Place on Saturday where the Saskatchewan Marathon Race Expo was in full force.

The Race Expo is where all Saskatchewan Marathon participants pick up their race packages. Around 2,500 people also took in the Expo booths which ranged from massage and chiropractor services, to retail, vitamins and fitness expert services. There weren’t any other space travelers in the crowd, but Inarek met all sorts of enthusiastic walkers and runners as they picked up their packages for Sunday’s race.

Now here were people who know the value of forward planning and hard work! It wasn’t a stretch when Inarek explained the lessons he learned in preparing for the unexpected – an area where Cherry Insurance can help.

Inarek was so inspired by the participants’ race aspirations – he wanted to join them on Sunday. The Marathon volunteers provided him with an honorary registration – but after hearing how he has been spending most of his time practicing his spaceship landing skills and not training for the marathon, they convinced him to run next year.

Whew… good thing they talked some sense into him!

Inarek was on the air Print this Article   Back To Top

Poor Inarek.. this is one alien who can't seem to land his spaceship whenever he drives it.

In fact, he crashed right in the middle of one Saskatoon journalist's traffic report.

Thankfully no one was hurt, but the incident reminded everyone on University Bridge the value of insurance and being prepared for the unexpected.
