Inarek crashed a hot rod?? Print this Article   Back To Top

Well he almost did this past Easter weekend at the Draggins Rod & Custom Car Club Show! Luckily his spaceship ended up in front of Hall E at Prairieland Park.

With his spaceship travels on hold, he joined the 20,000 attendees who took in all of the event’s hot rods, customs, antiques, muscle and classic vehicles – he even saw the Batmobile.

This year was the 50th Anniversary for the Draggins, who have supported many local charities, in particular Camp Easter Seals. Cherry Insurance recognizes the importance of community giving so they stepped up in a big way and became a three-year sponsor of the event.

Do you have your Green Grocery Bag? Print this Article   Back To Top

$2 is a small price to pay for investing in your community — but it’s all you need to purchase one reusable “green” grocery bag and show your support for the Saskatoon Community Foundation.

Cherry Insurance is pleased to support the Saskatoon Community Foundation and that’s why we’ve invested in 5,000 reusable “green” grocery bags. Visit any Saskatoon Cherry Insurance location during regular business hours and pick up your reusable grocery bag for $2. All proceeds from the sale of the bags go directly to the Saskatoon Community Foundation — that could mean a total contribution of $10,000 to a worthy cause.

For almost 40 years, the Foundation has provided grants to support local charities. These grants allow Saskatoon charities to expand programs, develop infrastructure and assist those in need. Donations to the Foundation are invested forever. That allows all gifts — large and small — to benefit the community today and into the future. For 40 years, Saskatoon residents have shown foresight and generosity by supporting the Foundation. Let’s all be a part of the next 40 years of giving!

Visit the Saskatoon Community Foundation’s website to learn more about them at: www.saskatooncommunityfoundation.ca.

'Inarek' is done crashing? Print this Article   Back To Top

'Inarek' was spotted at OK Tire on 8th Street in Saskatoon late yesterday afternoon. After taking advantage of a few photo oops (opps! I think we meant 'opps'), 'Inarek' was quoted as saying "ADOIae0-23 Q owoeiq Q2)&@aA048AGa Qqo*@!#%", which roughly translates to "I'm a bit tired of crashing all the time... I need a break."

As a result, 'Inarek' is indeed going to take a bit of a break. We've encouraged him to take some flying lessons again very soon, so who knows? He might be back out there before you know it! Keep an eye out for him!

We'll be closing the contest on the 10th of July and announcing the winner of the contest prize; A trip for two to Vulcan Alberta (Whoo!!!) We will post the winning name on this Web site in addition to contacting the winner directly.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to come out and get their pictures taken with 'Inarek', your enthusiasm was infectious. 'Inarek' had a great time!

The Alien was Spotted Again on June 20th Print this Article   Back To Top

'Inarek' crashed again! This time his spaceship was found right in front of Cherry Insurance's new Stonebridge location at 3126 Clarence Avenue South. Magic 98 set up a live radio remote to help people locate 'Inarek' and explain the grand prize trip to Vulcan, AB.

Traxx Footwear in Saskatoon donated "Vulcan Moon Boots" for one lucky winner, and if anyone stops by the Stonebridge location this week you still might be able to enter your name to win.

'Inarek' made lots of new friends, including all of the Cherry Insurance- Stonebridge location staff. (This might of had something to do with the fact that they were giving away free coffee and donuts as well as Cherry Insurance mugs and can holders.)

What a morning! To see the updated photo gallery click here.
